My last Live@Leeds festival back in 2017 was arguably its finest ever incarnation; Superman still holding up the ravaged tectonic plates beneath Jumbo Records following Idles incendiary set in the basement Key Club directly below, Good Charlotte’s fabulously catchy Pictish pop filling the Faversham with many a lungful of pine-fresh Caledonian air, not forgetting Moonlandingz tearing Brudenell a new one at the end of an unforgettable day’s gigging.

Wakefield’s leading arts fanzine Rhubarb Bomb, created Long Division back in 2011, the city’s own take on the multi-venue city centre all-day music festival that’s become increasingly popular in the last decade.

Can it really be a decade since this unique metropolitan festival burst onto the West Yorkshire live music scene, creating a slew of imitators all over the world? Now in its 11th renewal, Live At Leeds has grown into a local institution, firmly established on the live music calendar, with this year promising to be the biggest and best of all, boasting over 100 varied acts to choose from, a carefully curated blend of local, national and international musicians meaning there is more than something for everyone. 

OnRoundhay Festival, Roundhay Park, Leeds - (FESTIVAL PREVIEW)

I’ve always loved urban parks and Leeds boasts one of England’s very finest at Roundhay. For over a century those 700 immaculately kept North East Leeds acres have provided welcome sanctuary to generations of the city’s inhabitants, hosting a number of hugely popular events, most recently a leg of the ITU World Triathlon Series, ecstatic crowds witnessing a home grown one-two, the Brownlee brothers putting the rest of the field to the sword.
