January 19th saw the release of indie-punk band !!! (Chk Chk Chk)’s comic video for their new single ‘Every Little Bit Counts’. Zany and fun, with a whiff of abnormal, the video epitomises everything this band is about.
Premiered with Funny or Die, the video features input from the talented Casper Kelly, mastermind of Adult Swim’s video sensation “Too Many Cooks”. Frontman Nic Offer plays the eclectic Willie Wonka in an unremarkable world, combining “Zen calm with boyish enthusiasm”.
The record comes from the group’s star-spangled new album ‘As If’, out now on Warp Records. Nic is joined by Mario Andreoni, Dan Gorman, Tyler Pope and Allan Wilson in its creation, the Californian dream team that have been whipping up masterpieces since 1996.
!!! have confirmed a EU tour this Spring, including dates in London, Nottingham and Leeds, as well as a place in the unmissable BBC 6 music festival. Supporting will be the debut tour of Stereolad, the band’s side project - a Stereolab tribute that is anything but vanilla
