(Free with Pre Order of 'Searching For Zero')
Canadian hardcore punksters Cancer Bats band are back with album number five ‘Searching for Zero,’ promised for a spring release with a supporting tour as the band enters its second decade of noise creation. Ahead of that ‘Arsenic….’ serves as the teaser track, available free if you pre-order the long player and will surely whet the appetite of ‘Bats fans.
The album’s title reflects a difficult period for the band members as the closing line of this short sharp shock of a song poignantly reveals. In fact this blistering two-and-a half minutes is crammed full of gloomy references finishing with the aforementioned ‘too many friends died this year’…..the year of the snake that is. Cheerful stuff it certainly isn’t but it marks a fine return to form.
